Why this contest?

This contest aims to bring critical societal issues to the forefront, shedding light on the profound impact of generational trauma, neglected parenting, child abuse, and childhood maltreatment. We believe that storytelling is a powerful medium to inspire empathy, understanding, and positive change. Through this contest, we seek to provide a platform for writers to share their stories, creating a collective voice that addresses these sensitive topics. By encouraging narratives that explore these challenging themes, we hope to foster conversations that promote healing, resilience, and awareness.

Rules:

- You are supposed to write on the theme that covers the following issues: Generational trauma, childhood misparenting or maltreatment.

- Participants should submit their original content. Any pre-published or plagiarised content won't be taken forward.

- There is no limit to the number of content to be submitted. Just make sure that the content is interesting, grammatically correct and touches the hearts of the readers.

- The Participant is requested to not submit / post any spam, foul, indecent, threatening, discriminatory, vulgar and/or any such entry which is against public morality, as the same may lead to disqualification. Such decisions of disqualification shall be at the sole discretion of StoryMirror.

- Articles / Essays are not allowed for submission.

- The word limit is upto 500 words.

- There is no participation fee.
