A Code Of Silence
A Code Of Silence
The voice is on the rolling air;
I hear you where the waters run;
You stand in the rising sun,
And in the setting you are fair.
Where are you now I can only guess?
But that I seem in star & flower
To feel you in some diffusive power
I do not therefore love you less.
My love involves the love before;
My love is a vast passion now;
Although mixed with both God and nature
I seem to love you more and more.
Far off you heart's door I must implore,
I have thee still, and I rejoice;
I prosper, circled with your voice,
I shall not lose you until the day I die.
