A Teenage Girl In Her Free Time

Sometimes I wonder what actors do in their free time,

Do they act out parts of Romeo And Juliet in the mirror?

I wonder if they sit on their leather couch and hear the clock chime,

Or are they working hard to get better?

I ask myself if they went through a phase in their life where they asked if they'd ever been successful.

Sometimes I wonder what scientists do in their pass-time,

Do they stereo-typically mix green liquids with yellow?

I wonder if they're thinking about why apples fall or if they're questioning space-time,

Or are they proving the theoretically impossible while playing the cello?

I ask myself if they ever fret over their work that gets turned down. 

Sometimes I wonder what politicians do when they're bored,

Do they promise to build bridges when there are no rivers?

I wonder if they think about all the promises made that they've ignored,

Or are they making the problems, for which the solutions they deliver?

Although in reality, ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation. 

I'm sure there's someone out there wondering what a teen girl does in her free time,

Is she sitting on the bed making up fantasies in her head?

Well, she knows it's going to be a long hard climb,

But she'd rather do it than going unsatisfied to bed.

She wants to change her "can't" into "can's" and dreams into plans.
