An Eye-opening Pandemic

Finally, it took a lifetime to witness 

The transience of mortal lives. 

They now realize with a sigh 

They are no better than a fly. 

Pride and hope have wrecked 

Like the Titanic, meticulously made.   

It's time we really taste our life, 

It's time we barely waste our time. 

Days and nights dreamt together, 

Joys and sorrows shared with the other 

Are the best of life we now realize.   

Busy the world seemed always, 

Messy the mind proved those days. 

No invention shall surpass 

The invention of real homes 

Which shall make lives true lives.   

Will a time come again 

To lose the exhumed gems? 

Will we need a pandemic 

To remind us of humanity?
