Anniversary Covid Times
Anniversary Covid Times
And the rains came, smothered her with kisses
Earth cheered lustily, for her long-awaited lover.
Release did her pheromones
Hear I did her sighs and moans.
And in the morning when the cool breeze came
Where were you, I asked her.
Lockdown she said, just got released
As I clapped for her, neighbors joined too in habituation.
Thunder too joined loud and clear
Grey clouds hang they did
Not the virus or those who created it.
And the clouds said “we beg to differ”
It is for the earth we came to cheer.
One among life, you may realize
Then life will be in harmony
One with nature,
And end will the pandemic.
Cool did the mind and heart
Along with the breeze
Cheer for the life, cheer for the moment.
How did nature know?
She brought along her gifts
That today is our anniversary.
