Prison cell resounds.

Prayers, hymns reverberate, 

melody streams through.

Rich, thunderous jaikara!!! 

Night is spent in Thy recall.

The sun hesitates,

foreseeing the unholy mess.

But December mists, 

come to naught before their verve. 

The kotwali glows with their rapture. 

The Light's lineage!!! 

Charged for being His kindred.

arraigned with malice. 

Vicious, the offence of clan, 

villainous, the plan of czars. 

Cartwheel moves again,

through the freezing numbing cold. 

And Sirhind shivers. 

Three tender roseates arrive. 

Mesmerized, the hamlet stares.

The cowards exult,

rejoicing over their luck. 

The Gran and her cubs, 

safe in embrace of Thy name

fear not these ruthless sinners.

Icy cold Hansla, 

and imprisoned by her side, 

at the Cold Tower. 

huddled together on mat, 

trio singing Thy glories.
