Buttercup

Wearing a crown of gold, 

And a cloak that is gorgeous green, 

Look at this radiant beauty, 

That stands tall like a queen. 

This delicate little flower,

Is a honey pot for bees,

It fills you with sheer delight, 

As it dances in the morning breeze.

Dear friend, you're happiness personified, 

On you, praises I shall shower,

You're gentle and beautiful, 

Just like the Buttercup flower.

I consider myself extremely blessed, 

To have YOU as a friend, 

In YOU I've found a "Friend For Life",

Our friendship has no end.

There lies so much within you, 

But you find it difficult to share, 

You just cannot express yourself, 

But that doesn't mean you don't care!

When I try understanding your silence, 

I put my skills to test, 

'Cause you're no ordinary person, 

You're a cut above the rest. 

When you're in a happy mood, 

You bloom with so much grace, 

But when you're feeling sad and low,

It's all written on your face. 

When times are tough and the road is rough, 

Don't worry, keep your "Chin up",

I'll stand by you through thick and thin, 

'Cause I love you "Buttercup"!
