Caged bird
Caged bird
Like a bird he sits in his caged mind reminiscing what was but is not now
A faint smile across his face brings a bit of life to now the old wringkled face
When a free bird he'd fly mingled with friends and family most times it soon disappears and he sinks back into his loneliness
The nights he'd crave for hugs and kisses yet hugs his loneliness and kiss his pillow to sleep
His companion the stary night and the moon he'd speak to them in the lonely midnight hour
To cheer him up a phone he purchased with help from his best friend he'd chat online with those nearest to his core
Just after his 57th birthday he flew out of that cage that kept his a prisoner for donkey years
Free at last but hearts he has broken for he will never again be heard and seen
Goodbye my brother goodbye my best friend rest now in eternal peace
