Chugging Travel

Those days of traveling in trains, 

Used to begin much before the actual journey. 

Packing suitcases was mom's job, 

As I always resorted to pack my books. 

At the bustling station, 

My eyes searched for my soul mate, 

'The Higginbotham Book Store'. 

Ahhh! The smell of books just drew me closer. 

With raindrops trickling from the grills, 

Cool air gushed in through the window, 

As the trained chugged its way out, 

Through the bustling station. 

Racing with the trees and

Capturing the sunlight, 

Wondering how the mountains were shaped differently, 

Aaahh!!! The inquisitive learner in me piqued with interest. 

As the sun peeked in its glory, 

I retired to my world of books, 

Slowly the train rocked me

And I drifted to the world of imagination. 

Every train journey offered something special

Making the moments memorable forever. 

How I long for those journeys now, 

As my childhood is closely attached with them.
