Colours Of Life

The day we're born
Adds colours to our parents' life
But the day we die
Removes all colours from our beloved's life

When we speak first syllable
Colours of joy are added to life
But the day we stop talking to parents
We ourselves put darkness in their life

As a kid when we enter the school
The sadness and excitement have mixed colours
But as a teenager when we leave the school
The colour of sorrow is everywhere

When we develop our first crush
Seen around is the pink blush
But when our crush talks to someone else
The redness of anger surrounds the brains

Feeling of first love in the college life
The red hearts are about to rise
But the first heartbreak of life
And the red blood arise

When getting a KT in the examination
The darkness of sorrow prevails
But wearing the hat on convocation day
Signifies that even black can bring joy

Blue colour of fear surrounds
On the day of placement interview
But the colour of joy is seen when
You get selected after the interview

Then you find first true friend of life
And the yellow colour is so bright
When the friend holds your hand tight
All different colours are brought to life

Then comes the period of marriage
Red and yellow signifies privilege

After marriage comes a new member
And his cry fills the chamber

During death of a person
Black and white are the only colours
Then starts a new life
And repetition of these stages of life.
