I had my red dress on tonight

And my soul was tainted white

My hair was a mess of black and gray

Image of a soul that’s lost its way

I hear the bells ring and I know it’s time

To bite my tongue and swallow my pride

Like a hungry lion pouncing at its prey

Stomach getting filled and feeling gay

Alcohol seems to be doing the trick

No longer do I feel like a misfit

Happy hour runs all through the day
