Failures, The Recovery Mode
Failures, The Recovery Mode
Poem about a heart broken maiden who is failed by her lover, when he leaves her. She is telling her friend to convey her message, for, she isn’t amidst us today. Failures comes in many forms and hers, came in a person.
Tell him;
Tell him, I packed up and left. Tell him.
Tell him all the maybes and what ifs and what nots. Tell him.
Maybe I’m not there amongst you today
But could you tell him how I feel? Felt.
Tell him how I things couldn’t deal. But dealt.
Tell him how he made me melt.
Tell him. Tell him everything. If not for him, tell him for me.
Tell him ‘I did adult’.
Tell him of all the dreams and the plans.
Tell him how I felt and how he made me feel.
Tell him even if won’t change his life
Tell him he changed mine.
Don’t silence it for my sake, shout it to him, tell him. Even if he’s settled and happy, tell him.
Tell him even if he’s forgotten. Tell him even if he’s moved on. Tell him. Tell him even if he can’t name me or rhyme with me. For it’s for me unlike before.
This is like an opportunity cost to me and I’d like to venture this too out- from up and beyond.
Tell him to drink till sobriety
Spend till proprietary
Believe till he loses
And lose till he wins again.
Tell him. Even if you have to knock on his door or him down- tell him.
Wake him with water to his lips or face, wake him emotionally or spiritually but tell him.
Wake him. Wake him up factually. Wake him.
Tell him till he hears you, till he reacts to you. We for one, were obsessed with living in denial and ignoring signs.
We pretended nothing happened and lived on until we didn’t.
We parted ways when we faced the truth, we parted ways for we felt the truth.
“He failed me, and I let him.”
