Father

With the passage of time

Hands encapsulating unstinted affection

Lifted me up from the ground 

Spontaneously I giggled and uttered 

Papa........

When I initiated new expeditions of life

And ventured into that

He was the pillar of indomitable strength

And candences of enthusiasm for me

Perpetually inculcating the glorious values, ideals, and ethics within me

So meticulously to yield and nurture 

Humanity, rationality and discipline 

He was with me as my shadow

When society defeated me 

and extincted my all impulse to move,

magnified my wound, exaggerated pain

I was sobbing with unbearable anguish

and humiliating my birth

My father appeared with scintillating oozes

And extended his stimulating hands to wipe off my tears

And rendered enrichment to devastated 

dreams and again reemerged hopes to fly

a spontaneous smile bloomed on lips

He is my father...

who has taught me to confront unprecedented hardships,

to embrace difficulties,

to fight with all being embattled ,

to persevere till touching pinnacle ,

to accept adversity as an opportunity

He is the sunshine during darkness

He is the weapon during war

He is the panacea during disasters

He is the reason of my happiness

Without him my presence is futile

He is an epitome of inspiration

Who triggers the desire to attempt the impossible and relish success

My existence, my sustenance, and survival

Are only possible, but for my father......
