A father should be there to cheer,

Celebrating victories, wiping away the tear.

He should stand as our rock, unwavering and true,

Encouraging dreams, helping them come true. 

He should teach us values, instill what is right,

Lead by example, a beacon of light.

With love and warmth, he should hold us near,

Be a constant source of strength, year after year.

He should be our protector, our shelter strong,

A guardian, when things go wrong.

In his presence, we must find solace and calm,

His reassuring voice was a soothing balm.

A father should be a source of pride,

Walking with us, side by side.

Through his actions, he should show the art,

Of compassion, love, and a giving heart.
