Filling homes with torana of decoration,

Trying to digest all the good and evil,

And mingling with family to upheaval,

Ugadi is a blessing of spring time,

Adorn the floor with muggus before the sunshine,

Ugadi marks anew the Chaitra month,

And prepare all kinds of traditional varieties for lunch,

Ugadi pachadi is very much pure and special kind,

Putting all the laziness, sorrows in mixi grind,

And enjoying the day with full of joy,

Ugadi gives field full of alloys,

While koilamma is making tunes with welcome verses,

The jasmine flowers are sneaking with white arts,

This Indian new year brings account of success,

Faithfulness radiates on your face to progress,

A festival that commemorates spiritual attachment,

Hardships are experienced through sweet fragments.
