Going In Circles
Going In Circles
The mind began its incessant chatter
Whatever peace there was began to shatter
Then I made a resolution
Decided to find a permanent solution.
I went first to the tip of India, Kanyakumari
Solution washed away from the tip of the tongue, I became chary
I meditated in the Himalaya in the modified cave
The cave collapsed on me I had a close shave.
I searched in the mosque, the chapel and the big temple
It was all becoming too complex, which I thought to be simple
Suddenly I was accosted by a fakir
Who said to look inside with a mind crystal clear
So, I cleared the mind with one big sweep
Of all the muck, that formed one big heap
Then I saw engraved in small print
Too much seeking is injurious to mental peace
I was shocked and sullen
Ceased the search lest I get madden.
Back to the start where I was
No more running around for such a cause.
