Hibiscus
Hibiscus
Sprang cute little buds,
In my potted plant of hibiscus.
Overnight, they blossomed
As flowers, looking awesome.
Their petals, bright and glossy
With edges, fringed and classy.
Positioned they were delicately
On a long fluted trumpet, elegantly.
Hey, what's peeking out from their center?
Oh, tiny, velvety, deep red hair, they were.
Along with bright, yellow pollen
Dotted, they were the stamens.
The back of my knuckle,
I ran, slowly, along its petal.
Luxuriating, in its soft, silky touch,
Endearing it was, I loved, very much.
