Trials and tribulations

The life he lived alone,

Unloved forced to be hard

 

When all he ever wanted

Was love

His losses, heartbreaks,

Pain, and betrayals

Words that sound unforgiving

Yet cry out for forgiveness

Calling for a love to hear

His cries

To want him, to love him

 

Broken and beaten

Thinking he didn't want

To go on

Even death abandoned him

Leaving him making him

Feel rejected even more

Why was he destined to live

In misery, pain, and

Without love

 

Why was this world so cold

To him knocking him down

Each time he rose

Stealing all he knew

From him to deal alone

 

So here and now I reach to

Stroke his brow, to kneel

Beside him to tell him

"It's okay! Your not alone!"

To take him in my arms

And hold him in my warmth

To kiss his trembling lips

Stilling their shaking

And to show him love
