I Found In Her
I Found In Her
A gentle breeze went by,
It flew her curly black hair,
The smell of yellow Marigolds,
Touched her nose gently.
A flock of crows, fighting for food,
She got alarmed by that sight.
A yellow cup, which looked very hot,
She sniffed it and looked at the beautiful sky.
A guy jogging out waved her a hand,
In return, he got a smile and a thumb up,
Who was he? I haven’t seen him,
Is he her friend? It went around my head.
When I waved her a hand that day,
I only got a dirty, rusty smile,
Do I look so bad? Do I?
I stood there, staring at her for a while.
Just then, a voice came in, “Hey, how are you?”
Brown eyes, curly black hair he had,
I asked, "Hey! What is your name?”
He smiled, “Coming for jogging?”
After thinking for a while,
We went out jogging up and down.
This time he ignored her,
Instead, stared at me.
Still, Why did he wave at her?
How did he know her before I do?
Does she like him? Would they be school mates?
Or what? I went confused.
“She is having surgery today.
Um… her leg. She is Home-schooled,
Since childhood, she doesn’t have any friend,
Always confided with us." He said, still smiling.
“Umm… aren’t you, her friend?
What’s your name?” I asked doubtfully,
"Hah! I am not her friend,
But since childhood, I know her," was the reply.
I stared at him. Sun came up, brightened all around,
He said “AHH! I am tired,
I will come the next day."
He went towards the house that girl sat.
I stood confused,
Then he turned back,
"My brother! Call me Sam.
I am her brother,” Saying he went in.
Sun's rays touched my head,
All birds had left,
I stood looking down,
Everything around turned silent.
Then, the newspaper boy came.
