I HAD A DREAM!

I HAD A DREAM!

I had a dream and met an orphan who told me his personal story!

He's born in India, family migrated to Africa to work in a factory,

Lost his parents in an accident, adopted by an American couple,

Moved to USA to live there without even knowing his date of birth?

His parents used to call him 'Baby', he remembers no other name?

His foster parents changed it as 'Bob' and lent him their surname!

Lost his identity but their humanity made him free and keep alive?

He 's grateful for their kindness, love for treating him as their son!

Bob could not celebrate his own birthday till he was grown up!

Started celebrating many birthdays of national heroes every year.

Different dates for great people on the declared  national holidays,

Thinking one of them is his 'own birthday' to have fun and enjoy?

Many birthdays of popular leaders of different nations he knew well,

Who dedicated their lives to serve their countries and our humanity?

To establish Liberty, Democracy, Fraternity, Equality as your rights,

Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and John F Kennedy!

Many more special days; New Year Day, Independence Day, May Day

Republic Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Remembrance Day et al.

His family gets together to celebrate these days with their friends!

They are having a celebration tomorrow and wanted us to join them?'

Woke up from my dream, it is true; 2nd Oct is Gandhi's birth date

We're celebrating 'Gandhi Jayanthi' to remember Mahatma Gandhi,

'Our Father of Indian Nation' for his sacrifices for whole humanity!

You are most welcome to join us to celebrate a wonderful birthday?

                                      'JAI HIND'
