I Have And I Haven't

I've been hurt

I've been left

I've been scared

It's not over yet.

I've been alive

In place so dark

Where the only light

Was inside my head.

I've been stuck,

In a four-walled room

Which only grew smaller 

With every breath I took. 

I've learned to fly

In high above the sky

With rainbows and sunshine

Into the lands of never-ending 

Happiness. 

I've to learned to escape 

Every trap that holds me

Every scar that bleeds

Every memory that scares me. 

I've learned to live

With all that happens

Because no matter what goes

I was born to be alive 

I was born to be brave.
