I'm All Yours

“Knock, knock” I opened the door

And was shocked, “You!”

I looked down the floor,

I was feeling blue;

He lifted my head,

“I’m always here for you.”

My burden was shed,

“I’m going to talk through…

It’s been three days,

I never spoke to you,

I avoided your gaze,

I don’t know what to do,

Darkness surrounded me,

There was no way out,

I struggled to be free,

No one could hear my shout…

 

I fainted and closed my eyes,

You stood before me.

My hopes began to rise,

By your cute glee,

I realized that without you,

 I’m torn and incomplete,

I can never flee from you,

As you hold my every beat…

I don’t know why you love

And care for me so much,

You removed my pain glove,

You broke my fear clutch,

You supported me, like a mother,

You encouraged me, like a father,

You comforted me, like a friend,

You always helped me till the end…

When I needed you, you came for me,

When I trusted you, you saved me,

When I was forsaken, you consoled me,

When I was lost, you found me,

But, I kept disappointing you,

I lied and hurt you,

I fought with you,

I left and turned away from you…

Yet, you came again and again

And reconciled with me,

Made me happier again and again

And made my mind free,

I think, I don’t deserve you,

I’m obese, dull and a fool,

So, please don’t woo,

And stop being cool!”…

Tears welled in my eyes; he cupped my face in his hands

And said, “You deserve me, my love; because, I’m all yours!”
