In love With Depression

Depression was a tear,

Hidden underneath her 'sweet smile',

Depression was her quietness,

While she sat alone at night,

Depression was hidden beneath,

All those 'laughing emojis',

An illusion she created,

To try to run away,

From the void inside that depression is.

"Don't think about it! Stay in present", somebody said,

"It's your fault depression is happening!",

Please this never helps,

Guilt upon her shoulders for being guilty,

She cried the whole night saying,

"Oh lord please forgive me!".

Depression was when

She fell in love with sadness,

The pleasure from the pain gave her,

A different addictive madness.

Depression was her love,

The only thing she felt that accepted her,

It gladly held her heart,

With black and void it painted her.

She slept on the sofa,

As it covered her body,

In the nights that she had spent alone,

Now finally there was somebody.

So she gave into the thing,

That she felt she deserved,

And slept forever in the arms,

Of the only thing she loved.
