It was a mistake

I had it all planned I knew it'll work

For in my mind a path all plain and clear

Not a soul could be seen on that path planned just for me

It would be a journey of my innermost thoughts 

To search within the goal of my heart

Hear the song of my heart's desire 

So to fulfill the task set for me

But the sparkling lights of the city 

Took my heart by storm there was no turning back

I fell in love with the city lights 

Found me a partner from the city

She shone like the city lights

I thought she would be mine forever 

She has left for the city lights and am a lost countryside kid

That's what she said I was 

Back to the roots, I find myself

You're not around to welcome me

For your heart I broke and you 

left that night

It was a mistake I regret for life
