Jai Mata Di
Jai Mata Di
Jai mata di, jaykara sherawali mata da,
Jai mata di, jaykara sherawali mata da,
The bells were ringing loudly,
The bell chimes convert the environment,
Into more holy and peaceful.
The surroundings were divine and pure.
The peoples were chanting bhajans,
While heartedly they bow their head,
Into the 'charnas' of goddess' Durga ma',
The priest came with Puja thals,
Full of enlightened diyas, uncounted
And filled of ghee with long bhati in it.
The people collected , covered their heads,
They wore red chunris and a chandan tilak.
They folded their hands in the prayers,
And showering flowers into the charnas,
As a tribute to the divine goddess',
And towards her powers too.
