Just A Dream
Just A Dream
Severed head in hand runs the mayor,
A figure emerges from thin frozen air,
Bloodied snare flies dripping everywhere.
Waking dead walk all around,
Eyeballs filled sacks abound,
Scratching sounds from underground.
A smell of dead rat and rotten meat,
Footprints of two left feet,
Limbs stacked up in a heap.
First silence, then a piercing scream,
Blood curdling spine chilling,
Thank God it was just a dream.
