Kindness

With the world in chaos,

Raining are the clouds of pathos.

Humanity’s optimism is dead indeed,

To all good men, therefore, I plead:

Magnanimity and kindness in our hearts,

Is from where the healing starts.

Drop by drop the ocean forms,

Drops of your compassion can start storms.

However minuscule your actions may seem,

Do them; they flow the gentle stream.

These little acts go a long way,

Like my dear Wordsworth would say.

Sometimes we are filled with hatred,

We forget, above all else, love is sacred.

Eternally it will bind us together,

So we don’t capitulate to a level nether.

I shall beg for your benevolence,

As my wish is for its prevalence.

Be not afraid to be vulnerable,

If not memorable, you would be honourable.

Beseeching before you for benignity,

To save and protect our reality.

A small deed might seem unimportant,

But for someone, it might be the most ardent.

Altruism is the way of life,

Or so says my poetic wife.

I hope my words you perceive,

With this, my radiant reader, I take my leave.
