Let food be thy medicine

Let food be thy medicine

We are born,

As human,

Armed with conscience,

 common sense,

Years after years,

We survived by those tools,

Balancing with nature,

We are living and

We are thriving.

Greed crept into mind, and

Having profiteering lay waste

what was good,

Pave over mistakes and

Move on to path

Where there is money to be made.

We are thinking that we are tricky,

A trick that everyone would abhor,

By such trick we are shutting all doors.

It was always a matter of free will

and we have failed.

Joyously burning lips of our

Keeping our body on fire

Preparing ourselves to visit the house of doctor,

Taking tablets and injections for saving life,

While can be safe eater

One can believe whatever one wants,

Not bothering about future loss

Nobody wants to hear the truth; it's easier to be mainstream.

World reels under deceit and lies,

 The worst kind of ugliness,

Truth is a fringe phenomenon,

World is such a situation,

Truth is not a belief,

 It is reality in life.

Once one believes reality in life,

Identity will be built on such belief,

 Belief without reality,

It leads human to accept ridiculous things,

As the absolute truth,

Though much has been thought to adhere to truth,

I tell you what you eat, and

Surely you will tell you who you are?

So long as you have food in our mouth,

We value only the taste food and

Cheer and song above hoarded gold,

Without thinking about good healthier food,

Here I want to refer the quote

“Let food be thy medicine and

medicine be thy food”

This quote is ascribed to,

Hippocrates (400 BC),

Though thousands of years old,

There is no sincere love than the love of food,

It acknowledges

the importance of healthy eating

We avoid to accept something

that is unpleasant

Because it is necessary and

cannot be avoided,

Otherwise it would be a merrier world.
