Lockdown Breakdown

We thought it was the much needed break,

For boring daily schedule sake,

Sacrifice of weekend wondering it would take,

For a month or two, that effort we were ready to make.

It started as fun,

Work from home was done.

Some turned cooks,

Grown beards and hair changed our looks.

Home fitness became a trend,

Technology became our friend,

Virtual meetings we had to attend,

Personal and professional got mixed in the end.

When we made dalgona coffee,

Street vendors struggled to sell a toffee,

Near and dear ones millions lost,

Laborers from one state to other were tossed.

Netflix, prime, we had it all,

Some families couldn't afford even a call.

Seven months trapped, I know its a kill,

Physically strong we are still,

Some mental, some financial burden many might feel,

Just give it time, everything will heal.
