Meaningless Run

Walking on the sidewalk day in and day out,

Not noticing the beauty in the rear view,

Chasing meaninglessly on a timeless run,

To find stability without insecurities;

Losing the purpose or meaning of the run,

As it goes on without a deadline...

Tempting butterflies often drag the vision,

Towards the seasonal beauty of greenery,

Though autumn awaits to make it all haystack.

Is it right to stay and steal the beauty while it lasts?

Or is it wrong to give up to the temptation of temporariness?

What is right or wrong? 

Whether to live the moment 

Or to save the best for last?

Yet the bard says: “the readiness is all”

Always muddled in the mundane puddle;

Yet 3.5 decades just passed in a sweep

With fear of choosing right or wrong...
