My Country

It is my pride and privilege,

To get birth in this country,

It is not only beautiful

But has a rich cultural heritage.

For the few wrongdoings,

The whole society cannot be blamed

Because still there are hearts,

Who keep spreading the message of love,

In this world of darkness,

My country is like a flame.

Where can we see such family values,

Where can we see the patriotism,

Where can we see such neighborhoods,

The people who help with heroism.

It should be a reason to hold up my head,

I have lived in the culture of respect, compassion, and humility,

The world seems to be surprised,

When people of different religions,

Enjoy with each other the festivals and smile,

This is my country my India

And it will always be my reason to feel alive.
