My Courtroom

My Courtroom

1 min
201

Every night, when I enter my bedroom,

I saw a witness box with smell of doom.

I accused myself...

My hands worked, but humanity was dim,

My nation was weeping as a silent victim.

I interrogated myself...

My eyes witnessed, but blindfolded the jury,

Ethics & truth suffered the maximum injury.

I cross examined myself...

My tongue spoke, but morality was imprisoned,

Peace scattered in pieces was again sentenced.

I defended myself...

My conscience cried, law was sabotaged,

Love was abused and compassion caged.

I judged myself...

My mind ignored, but the crime was committed,

Social justice was biased and totally neglected.

I prosecuted myself...

My body stood lame, evil encroached poor modesty,

Mute spectators are also culprit, "you killed honesty".
