Olympics in epidemic

Humans are different,

From others,

On one count,

They play format Games,

To entertain,

Which others don't.

Olympics are the Mecca,

Of our sports calendar,

It was to happen in 2020,

But had to be postponed.

Because of epidemic,

It was a challenge,

But our strength was weak,

So we play safe,

And shifted it,

To next year.

In a hope,

That situation will improve,

And we will be in command.

But it didn't worked out,

The way we wanted.

Still epidemic is in force,

And even athletes couldn't be safe.

But we took it,

As a challenge,

And decided to host in July.

We are taking,

All possible precautions,

So that history may not,

Call us cowards.

If everything goes,

According to the plan,

Olympics will see,

A day of light.

Hopes it goes safe,

And no one suffers.
