Peace

Peace, you have wings,

You have branches, to reach very far

But, it's the mankind that 

Doesn't allow you to come near.

You do your best to reach the universe

And to touch the humanity,

Sadly, it's humans who fail you,

In unnecessary tug of war of authority.

Every religion preaches peace

But, none really practice it.

No one hesitates to slit you in a blink 

Just to prove their might.

Can you spread wings to conquer

The world with your perennial power

Where kind touch, empathy 

And smiles and happiness will shower?
