PHOBIA
PHOBIA
Phobia is that fear that does not only change the mindset,
But it sends a shiver through every cell and makes it hurt,
Destroying peace of mind and disturbing the heart,
And the brain cries with screams as it goes through a lot.
Brought up as a brave girl, I never knew what fear is,
Until I underwent an incident that changed my lifestyle with ease,
It was after that I realized what fright is,
Though I cover myself with thousand blankets, yet it ruins my peace.
Mom was my heartbeat, and I was her life,
One day she went to a hospital complaining of dizziness with my uncle’s wife,
She promised me that it was nothing to worry about and would return in a while,
That evening I heard the ambulance; perplexed, I went to welcome mom with a smile.
Out came my mom, but wrapped in clothes white,
People carried her on their shoulders and placed her on the ground wide,
I screamed and went unconscious with a fright,
When I woke, everything was silent, and mom had gone to a faraway land to hide.
From that day, the sound of ambulance siren sends a shiver in my spine,
I hide as if I have seen a ghost and whine,
But the noise of that siren is sharp enough to reach my ears and increase my pain,
I feel like the sky is falling on me, and I again faint.
