Poetry (Pain)

You are

the poetry of my forlorn heart,

you are

the poetry of my wet eyes,

you are

the poetry of my disheartened lips.

I have tried

umpteen times to erase you.

Heart has tried

to demolish the castle of love.

Mind has tried to go ahead.

But still, I falter,

I fail And I fail to get rid of you.

My pen indites And indites,

And you become

my poetry carrying

my pain and anguish

though the ink of my nib

has never got your touch.
