Positiveness To Focus On

Time goes by day by day and

From my grip slips away,

I know that I am a human and

Mortal, I have a short stay.

Walk of life is just like a sky which

Turns from blue to grey,

I, in past or now don’t want to pass

Valuable time with dismay.

At the age of 63, taking a dream of writing

Poetry was nerve-wracking.

But my faith that I can be a writer, inculcated

I tread myself into writing.

My belief is that if I learn well without giving up

My zeal and dreams will come true.

Those words of my teachers remained close to me

In heart made my dreams blue.

Sometimes I was hurt by circumstances,

Life seems unfair,

Never in the past nor today, I don’t live

In anger and fear.

Instead, I choose to live my life like

An uplifting song,

I am writing poetry and not to judge too

Quickly, if I am wrong.

There are oceans of poetry, in different

Forms and lengths,

Ranging different periods, these are written

On different perspectives.

I read poetry believing it helps to understand

Life’s emotions.

I became bold, happy and confident,

Positiveness to focus on

I’m busy, not in the way as some people

Would necessarily accept.

I’m busy calming my mind from troubles,

To get peace at the end.
