Proud Indian

In those days, when we were slaves,

Some people come upon and stood brave,

Some were teachers, doctors,

And some were monks,

They all were our leaders,

And they prove the Britishers wrong,

But the Britishers were boorish and strong,

They chastised the leaders and kept them in jail,

But the people of India striked for bail,

The fight for freedom lasted long,

The Britishers were callous,

And looted India,

While looting the goods,

They took the word 'loot' too,

They did much atrocity on freedom fighters,

And those leaders became martyrs,

At last, the Britishers were chased away,

And the Britishers were chagrined,

Freedom fighters were a charisma for India,

And we should be proud to be Indians.
