Rejected
Rejected
They said, 'You'll be rejected!
" And silently the emptiness darkened,
The pages yelled to be written upon,
To be read aloud, Under the pessimism's cloud,
Unfortunately, the fortunate hid,
With the fear of failure,
Gaining an entire book of empty pages,
To which the ink was a lightless tear,
Too heavy to be carried with emotions,
And they still say, "You are rejected! "
