Robot Scanny Brains
Also known to be scrambled brains
No never scatterbrains
For in his kingdom
Of tall high rises and skyscrapers
He was one so immense
Built like a gargantuan Goliath
He had arms of sinewy steel
Muscles of steel cartilage, steel loins, knees and bones
That lifted his body
His steely legs
To a towering height of ten storeys high
Even Sampson couldn’t defeat him
Yet ruled he the roost
As he’d declared to all of humanity below
So powerful a magical machine!
Gave heart to the heartless and immobile
He proved his gauntlets of steely wonder
Making raw materials to robots of wonder
Thus he gave them brains worth functioning
Like machines called computers
So sleek, fully brainy and brawny
Made of steel and electric circuits
Yet a brain that dodged even digits, chemistry and physics
With high cheek bones called iron cliffs
And iron lips called iron hangers
They just spoke steely language
Concisely like machines without faltering diction and speed
“Here comes age of machines”
Always about businesses at every nook and corners of the street
Each robot were stationed
So monotonous and bleak
Robbing morning sunshine chores
That first ordinary humans slogged to perform happily
Throughout the day under its bright brilliance
With great finesse
The guards, policemen, sweepers
And garbage collectors
Now all done by robot machines
From up did Scanny Brains
Scan his kingdom down below
Where so much power now lay in hands of his computational men
Called Robots
Those that ruled with an iron fist instead of love
He regretted making all decisions so full of iron and steel
Heartless and cruel indeed!
Now filled all the city with poverty and
Beggary took its toll
Whilst sky scrapers and high rises
Had robots doing odds and ends
Knocking at their doors
The spiffy delivery iron men, the steely courier deliverers
The steely waiters and even the elevator guard’s of metal y’know
All robots without a heart and heartless
As cold as cold steel
For they worked only for the rich upper crust of rich Apple City
And not the poor that couldn’t afford even an iron button
Of their iron sleeves or iron coats!
They dusted and cleaned
They made better house maids
Chefs, chauffeurs, butlers and matrons
Robbing élite jobs of the poor human beings
Whilst elite rubbed noses and roamed they in airs
Without any concern for
Those kindly souls who served them so loyally before
Now machines took turns to run hospitals
Mending and building cars, even all gadgets and instruments
Daily inventions made they superior
More superior than anybody ever thought of before
The world benighted
Turned poor and poverty laden
Whilst the machines ruled everybody in 3000 AD
Yet Scanny Brains
Though scrambled digits and alphabets proudly
Computing more and more mechanical machines
By the dozens……. out of the ordinary
Out of boxes in vain!
Somewhere in his wavering mind
He felt for all his abandoned robots
Of the iron kingdom
So he took a turn…… a new leaf
And decided to make one robot
So good called Robert
To fill in gaps of human foolishness
Because they thought they could do away
With all human labour and creativity
Even in the fields of writing authors
Illustrating graphic design artists
Which his brilliant machines did with great finesse
Called AI or Artificial Intelligence
Taking to great heights ambition
Of steel machines
Surpassing all human creations and turning all people into mere ambiguity
Now humans were viewed as trifling objects of annihilation
Apathy and disgust
Subjects to be ridiculed and reviled of course
By the rich scheming propaganda
Of unholy, unrighteous ministers and learned yet fickle men
Who served only for limitless dollars and golden dimes
A century of paupers they had created in vain
All talent of human beings were put indeed to shame
Victims of heartless machines!
Now Scanny Brains
Set up to make a machine with a heart
Robert the Robot
Was born on the fifteenth of March I suppose
He took his shape made of steel
But somewhere in between
He had a heart that felt for humanity
Instead rule like a zombie machine
Tender yet strong was he revolted
By the heartless machines
Had a good ounce of sympathy for paupers
And those that lost jobs by such contraptions
That didn’t think even a farthing
For a sorry populace full of dreams
Of the Great Apple City
So along with Scanny brains
Now his helper Robert the Robot
He used all abandoned robots
To devise new ones
Ones that couldn’t compute or do mechanical mundane things
Thus made all humans their friends
Whence every corner of streets the savage computer savvy robots
Intercepted and stopped poor needy helpless men
To show strange verifications and numbers
On their hands to enter into the city of foolish men
Now these abandoned machine Robots
Like Robot Robert
Clive, Sam, George, Ryan, Philip, Peter
And many others in the line
Made a mark so easy that all humans followed
In the line
They got their daily groceries which were run by heartless machines
Even took turns riding in all contraptions run by them
Buses, cars, trucks, trams
Now rode the poverty stricken in luxury whenever they needed to be dropped by
Used them happily as rain!
Even the Robots Robert
Clive, Sam, George, Ryan, Philip, Peter
Made the artists and writers famous again
Their arts and works
Showcased in galleries of great Apple City
Among the heartless machines creations
That had no rhythm or soul
Soon the poverty stricken ruled roost again
Painted the city red
All because of Scanny Brains
Along with his helper robot machines
Alas! It caught the eye of the horrid
Scheming ministers, learned but fickle men
The unrighteous at once
They decided to bring down Scanny Brains
And his helper machine Robots
The poor now reasonably sustaining the harsh conditions
Of this land
Shuddered once again thinking what should become of them
But Scanny Brains
So high and lofty
Like a boulder magic machine
Now no one could ever harm him
Even the heartless machines
They had a fight iron nail and iron tooth kingdom in vain
The victorious of course won
Scanny Brains
Robert the robot his assistant
Along with Clive, Sam, George, Ryan, Philip, Peter
This taught the unjust and the worldly a lesson
‘What goes around comes around’
One day would they face the same….loneliness and abandonment!
Even though the sky petered like a burning furnace
Round and glowing like embers
Burnt and slew the kingdom
The concrete flower pot of tainted men
Learnt wisely and well
Their actions of foolishness would never really take off again
For men were born much sensitive to the needs of humanity
And the other deprived people of the kingdom
Though now the robots grew old and doddering
Finally rust got the better of them
Brand new robots magically were born
Surprisingly made of garbage tins
Right from ashes they arose
Once again Robert, Clive, Sam, George, Ryan, Philip, Peter
All of them
Not heartless but with a heart of gold
One found as they scratched beneath the surface!
As for Scanny Brains he was not needed anymore again!
