Silence Freaking At A Mission
Silence Freaking At A Mission
Silence freaks at a mission of geeks
At the dead of the night,
On a quest,
There was not even a faint light,
The bats flying were to us a pest,
But today was our test.
Not a sound did we, the geeks hear,
Not a cat even to purr,
Just the snores of people asleep,
And of the wind by trees swept.
Frightened, but not a mourn,
Piece of parchment, but not torn,
The sound of silence frightened,
My grip on the parchment tightened,
The sound of silence was not burst,
Silence is what we cursed,
The sound of silence seemed scary,
To us very wary.
Shaky legs and voices distant,
Everything seemed very blackened,
The sound of silence was a horror,
The drippings of water from a roof was less than a downpour.
The sound of silence freaked us,
We knew to continue was a must,
Surrounded by fog and night wisp,
Did we drift?
The sound of silence was horrid,
As an owl from us hid,
We walked on toward,
Our mission out without a word.
