Sketch

I tried to sketch her

However, I sketched her mother

Instead of her face,

Her mother's face

Lit up in my paper

She laughed

When she saw what I did,

But, I thought,

How true it is what people say

The truth dawned upon me

I realized her mother would control our lives,

When we are married,

As my vision helped me to sketch

We will be under her surveillance

How strange! You try to sketch your subject

And the master appears

Be waring you of the consequences

How can a beautiful life be sketched knowing what awaits you next?
