Slow Down
Slow Down
Slow down, winter is catching up
Hibernation-like, the snow is piling up
And the frost is nipping at my nose
I long for the warmth of a bonfire
And the smell of a souvenir
Fancy overcoats are hanging in the closet
And the door is slowly creaking shut
I shiver and burrow deeper into my bed
As the cold seeps in and numbs my head
I dream of summer days
And sun-kissed skin
But for now, I'll just have to wait
And try to stay alive
Until the thaw arrives
