Soldier's Pride
Soldier's Pride
Walking through the forest where they now play,
No reminders of the forgotten yesterdays,
When times of tragedy came through this way,
And ravaged the souls and here they lay.
Forever a part of the past,
A memory that didn't last,
Advancements move forward,
And destroy so fast.
The sacrifices left on the ground,
By the ones now gone never to be found;
For everything there is a price to be paid,
And history is a victim left,
Unrecorded so soon will fade.
Stand tallest when facing the greatest foe,
History is never written initially by the victors;
But eventually they will know.
