Sonnet
Sonnet
Behold my nakedness, I'm no longer shamed
See how my wickedness is set before thee
Weakened by human nature, man is to err, am erred
How will I stand before Holy of holies with such filth in me
I milk myself day and night to please my darkness
Awaiting His glorious return to redeem me from my sins
Either light or dark prevails, so mine is at war to light less
Am a paragon of a forgotten Word, a child among teens
A captive and a slave, an addict of world's pleasure
Am a storm, a vice of imperfection, awaiting doom
Or am I self-abandoned - dripping evil - God thy love I don't measure
Emanate thy self ooh Lord that I may - in light - loom
And constantly watch that I won't be overwhelmed with iniquity
Nor be drowned in addiction, loving the world more, indignity
