STRANGER

When we first met,

I never would have guessed

that we would end up here,

With so much pain and hurt

between us.

I loved you with all my heart

but you were never faithful

and now all I feel is hate

for all the lies and pain

you've caused me.

I don't know what happened

but somewhere along the way

We lost each other

And now we're nothing

But strangers.

Strangers are the faces we once loved 

now look unknown,

and my home looks like a heartbreak

with all the memories of us

that I can't escape,

and can't live with either.

I no longer know

how not to be a stranger to myself

when I look in the mirror.
