Nothing in this world can repay your debt, 

The life lessons and experiences you gave are excepted from any theft,

Your legacy, personality, attitude, transparency, benevolence a flew,

Utmost sincerity, dedication, willingness to try any task, to name a few,

From physical appearance to the abundant intellect you have bestowed, 

I owe my life to you and your selfless love showed,

Your rewards for good deeds, punishments for worse, 

Always behind me to share my feelings whenever I fell short of verse,

Sometimes I intentionally did the unwanted knowing I have your sheltered roof, 

Near or far, your blessings and teachings never made me aloof,

'Thank you, Maa' would be so less to express my gratitude,

For whatever you have done for me, 'my child first' attitude,
