THANK YOU!

We never thank the sun so bright,

For giving us warmth and all the light,

It rises every morning for us,

And never does it make a fuss!

It simply hangs there everyday,

And sparkles in the sky,

But we never stop to thank it though,

As it goes burning by.

Have we ever thanked the moon,

For giving us light in the dark?

Or have we ever stopped to listen,

The melodious song of the Lark?

Geetika mam, you're like the sun,

Imparting knowledge which is "light"

You've left no stone unturned,

In making our future bright.

I got a chance to be your student,

For not just one year, but two,

And I feel so blessed and lucky,

To have been mentored by you.

I take this opportunity to say,

So loud and proud and true,

For everything you've done for me,

Just two words... "Thank You!"

"Thank You" to the World's Best Teacher,

Whom I consider my very best friend,

"Thank You" for teaching me lessons,

That were hard to comprehend.

"Thank You" for teaching with so much love,

During the lockdown when times were tough,

And for all the knowledge you've given me,

I simply can't thank you enough!
