The Black Hole
The Black Hole
I am a sky lover and stargazer:
"Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are!"
Those lines keep resonating in my ears
All my years...
The worldly normality never hindered
My time with the sky and stars;
Every night, before I slip into sleep,
I stretch my arms to grab the sparkles;
I smile at them and close my eyes.
It never once occurs to me:
They are million miles away;
And takes million dollars to reach them!
Dreams don't just need perseverance:
I learned that they need pennies too!
Now, every price tag is amplified to my eyes:
All worldly things do have a price tag!
I lock all my favourite little stars
And keep them in the attic far from my reach.
With no twinkle in my vision,
I step into the dull and dreary mediocrity:
Though I feel safe and secure,
My smiles and shines are locked away...
I can't help but be gravitated towards:
The luminous lights and colourful sparkles;
I see a Milky Way amidst the mediocrity:
I fancy the unrealistic beauty of it;
I love the dream-like folly against tangible reality;
I let lose myself in the mesmerizing,
Man-made, magical galaxy of entertainment -
It seems the easy escape route,
From my horrible choice of mediocrity!
I am relieved and rescued
By the man-made star world;
I am treated like a star as well;
I am lured knowing it is a folly,
For it makes many price tags affordable!
Indeed, I open my little stars again;
Now, I can afford my dreams one by one.
I am floating as dust with multiple hues
Blind to the gravity dragging -
Dragging into the man-made black whole!
I believe: I get through it into a new galaxy
I feel so light that I can travel in light
I see the immense radiance of numerous stars.
Yes, I am out of the man-made black hole -
I guess I lost my fleshy robe there:
Who cares?!?! Now I am literally in the galaxy -
Guess who is smiling at me - Stephen Hawking!
