The Brainless Genius
The Brainless Genius
'Brainless nincompoop', they labeled me.
My achievements weren't measured,
Because I hadn't any to prove.
Yes, I was brainless, but I knew
What my hands could create.
I was an elephant, believe it or not,
And they measured my capability
Of climbing a coconut tree. Surprising!
I knew what I was capable of.
Unless allowed to prove my potentials
My elephants will lie dormant, I knew.
They took me to be an obstinate mule,
And with contempt, they treated me.
I was a salamander in books and studies;
Letters and words appeared impossible for me,
Numbers stood meaningless to my senses.
I was a blockhead in their sight, but not mine.
I never wanted to be a parrot-learner
Thus, a speaking parrot I designed,
Following my school experience.
''The brainless made it,'' they chuckled.
Inventive thoughts always fascinated me.
Invincible spirit stirred my inquisitive mind.
The determination to prove myself
Took me to sleepless nights.
Exhibitions were my exam halls,
And inventions were my answer sheets.
From animate machines to inanimate wonders, I made.
It's my bare hands that gave them life.
My meticulously made human-robot
Brought me the deserving recognition.
And this time, they applauded for me
With glorified and upgraded comments-
'He is a Brainless Genius!'
